Nurturing Growth at Every Stage
Early Learning Excellence
Our program is tailored to each stage of your child’s development, spanning four age-divided classrooms. In addition to our core curriculum, all students benefit from Spanish and Physical Education classes.
We also offer optional Before & After care for families seeking extended care options.

The Beginning of a Journey
The birth of a child sparks countless questions and discoveries. At McKenzie Montessori Institute, our Infant class supports parents in understanding their child’s needs while honoring their own well-being. While much attention is on caring for infants, we also celebrate their individuality and the joy they bring to families. Every object in the Infant environment is specifically chosen for your child’s journey of exploration and learning. By experiencing the materials, shapes, colors and other children in the class.

Kindergarten & Elementary Journey
Our Kindergarten & Elementary program captivates the inquisitive mind with foundational lessons, offering historical context that enriches the Montessori curriculum. Tailored for ages five-to-ten, our environment nurtures self-construction through hands-on engagement with didactic materials, paving the way for grasping complex ideas. In our lively setting, children actively think, choose, collaborate, and cultivate civility, all within thoughtfully designed spaces. We embrace each child’s unique qualities, fostering deep engagement with hands-on activities that hone problem-solving, executive skills, and cultural understanding.

Preschool Promise
Free, full-time preschool for kids ages 3 and 4!
Preschool Promise, funded by the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care, provides free, full-time preschool to eligible 3 and 4-year-olds. It offers culturally relevant programs in various settings across Lane County—including McKenzie Montessori Institute. Enrollment uses a lottery system, prioritizing children with special needs and emerging language learners. Families must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify.
Support for Unique Needs
We understand that every child is unique, and some may not neatly fit into our four age-divided stages due to developmental delays or other individual factors. At McKenzie Montessori Institute, we’re committed to working closely with families to ensure the best possible placement for your child’s development and comfort. Our dedicated team will collaborate with you to create a personalized plan that meets your child’s needs, fostering a supportive environment where every child can thrive.
